School’s out for Spring Break, but kids art camp is in session! Join us for a full week of creativity, as we explore a wide range of mediums to create 2-3 main projects. Crafts might include painting, weaving, dyeing, beading, clay, fiber arts and more. Every day is unique at Little Green Art Studio!
Single Day drop ins are available.
Please pack a snack and lunch for your little one, and please make sure they are dressed in clothes that can get messy! Each day, we will have lunch across the street in Highland Park, so sunscreen, water and a hat would be strongly encouraged.

Summon your inner Witch or Wizard with our week of magic + alchemy!
In this camp, we will explore magic, potions, apothecary and secret spells to conjure a magical world. We will have the chance to use various mediums like drawing, painting, natural dyes, and sculpture, and will use the most magical spell of all - IMAGINATION!

Food for Thought | Summer Camp

Food For Thought is a Summer camp series rooted in connecting children to the worlds of food and nourishment through the lenses of creativity, curiosity, and connection. We will explore topics including color, season, and flavor through hands-on, sensory learning and creative projects. This series will be a full body adventure in fun and expression, which will include neighborhood field trips to local parks and the farmer’s market. Kids will be encouraged to taste, touch, and get a little messy! Each day, we will explore a different theme around food, and will complete projects that the students can bring home to share with their families including homemade pasta, plant dyed materials, and their very own potted plant.
For the final day we invite family members and/or caregivers to join us from 2pm - 3pm on June 27th for a nourishing spread prepared by the children to celebrate their learnings together!

Design + Sewing Studio | HALF DAY

This is a morning camp - 9am - 12pm

July 29th - August 2nd
Join us for a 5 day design and sewing intensive! In this workshop, young designers will explore the world of sketching, fabrics, design and sewing to create a unique garment or small collection. We will start with the basics of threading a sewing machine, and how to sew a beginner friendly project. From there, we will learn about fashion illustration, translating designs into technical sketches, how to cut patterns, how to select the right fabric, and we will end with construction of a unique article of clothing or small collection..
We will focus on creativity, imagination, and finding unique solutions to design challenges. This is a beginner friendly workshop, and will strive for practice over perfection!
Class size is limited to 8 students. Specific instruction will follow the students’ interests. Topics and techniques covered may include zippers, elastic, buttons and button holes, creating ruffles, and more.

Move/Create: A Dance + Art Camp

Explore the intersection of art and dance in this unique cross-disciplinary summer camp! Mornings will be spent at Twinkle Toes Dance studio, where students will be immersed in the contemporary dance catalogue, practicing modalities such as Gaga and improvisation, while also learning about great choreographers and incorporating ballet technique.
After lunch, campers will sashay their way up the street to Little Green Art Studio for an afternoon of art practice. Projects will be inspired by movement, form, symmetry and anatomy to complement their dance exploration. We will have a chance to play with a wide range of mediums from charcoal to watercolor to natural dye, and will push the boundaries of how we create!
Students will need clothing appropriate for movement, as well as an outfit that can get messy! Please pack a snack, lunch, and water bottle. We will take our lunch break at the Highland Park playground, so sunscreen and/or a hat is recommended.

Let your child’s inner artist run free in this week’s drawing and painting intensive program! Students will learn various painting and drawing techniques, including, but not limited to, color theory, paint mixing & application, as well as perspective & composition. We will build our knowledge and skills each day by taking what we’ve learned the day before and applying it to the next day’s lesson. Young artists will work with a variety of painting and drawing materials over the course of the week. On our final day, students will be able to unleash their creativity and apply the artist’s techniques learned to a subject of their own for our final day “mini exhibit”. No experience necessary. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to discover the world of painting and drawing for your little artist!

We will be exploring the world of clay with special guest teacher and artist Joy Guyette! Joy will take us into the world of hand building with clay to make sculptures, bowls, animals, mugs - the opportunities are endless! We will exploring building techniques and textures to make unique works of art. We will work with both air dry clay as well as clay that will be fired in a kiln.
This camp runs from 1pm - 3pm each day.

Move/Create: A Dance + Art Camp Winter Edition

Explore the intersection of art and dance in this unique cross-disciplinary holiday camp! Mornings will be spent at Twinkle Toes Dance studio, where students will be immersed in a festive mix of modern, musical theater, and classical dance techniques.
After lunch, campers will sashay their way up the street to Little Green Art Studio for an afternoon of art practice. Projects will be inspired by the holiday season, and will complement their dance exploration. We will have a chance to play with a wide range of mediums from collage to weaving to papier mache, and will push the boundaries of how we create!
Students will need clothing appropriate for movement, as well as an outfit that can get messy! Please pack a snack, lunch, and water bottle. We will take our lunch break at the Highland Park playground, so sunscreen and/or a hat is recommended.

We will be exploring more complicated patterns, fabrics, and techniques like sewing on top of elastic, adding button holes, and sewing zippers. Students will be able to select a project from a menu of options to complete during the 5 week series. Students will have the chance to complete their project from start to finish, including cutting their pattern + fabric, sewing + finishing. Fabric + notions will be provided - no shopping necessary!
Students must have previous experience working on a sewing machine i.e. have threaded a sewing machine on their own. (We will of course be doing refresher practice!)
We can offer a full refund up to 21 days before the start of your camp. Within 20 days of camp, there will be no refunds.
We cannot pro-rate missed days due to vacation or other conflicts.

In this fun and interactive class, young artists learn about the basics of fine art through guided drawing and painting projects that spark the imagination! They will learn to create life-like artwork, and how to properly use a variety of mediums, such as chalk and oil pastels, watercolors and colored pencils.
The lessons are on-going and go month to month.
Some materials will need to be purchased before class. Please use this shopping list.
