The Magic Apothecary | Summer Art Camp

The Magic Apothecary

$525/ Week

Ages 7-12

July 6th - 10th

9:00am - 3:00pm Each Day

Welcome to The Magic Apothecary — a week of kitchen magic, botanical crafting, and hands-on making inspired by good witches everywhere.

Throughout the week, we’ll blend, stir, pour, and weave as campers make nourishing body butters, scented candles, customizable lip balms, and thoughtfully mixed herbal teas. We’ll talk about scent, texture, plant properties, and the sensory experience of working with natural ingredients. Alongside our kitchen-witch creations, students will get creative with weaving, printing, hand-sewing and more.

By the end of the week, each child will leave with a personal apothecary and a new knowledge of botanical wisdom.

Please pack a snack, lunch and water bottle for your little one. Please wear clothes that can get messy! We will eat lunch at the small park across the street from the studio each day from 12-1pm (weather permitting) so a hat and sunscreen is recommended.

This camp is geared towards slightly older crafters - if you are looking for a camp for your 6 year old, we also have our Move/Create: Dance + Art Camp happening this week at Dent Dance Center in Highland Park!

…………………………..

To help everyone have a fun, safe, and creative week together, please follow these guidelines:

1. Stay in the Camp Area No going into the retail shop area. No going into the back of the studio or behind the curtain.

2. Move Safely No running or rough housing. Walk carefully—there are art projects and tools everywhere!

3. Be Kind Be kind to yourself. Be kind to your classmates and teachers. Use respectful words and actions.

4. Take Care of the Art Be gentle with your own artwork. Be gentle with everyone else’s artwork—no touching without permission. Treat materials and tools with care.

5. Ask for Help If you’re unsure about something, ask a teacher before starting. Let us know right away if something spills, breaks, or feels unsafe.

6. Try Your Best & Have Fun Take your time, explore new ideas, and enjoy the creative process. It’s okay to make mistakes—mistakes are part of art!

We appreciate it if you can review these studio guidelines with your little one before camp.

  • We cannot accommodate children under the age of 6 by the start of camp.

  • You may cancel for a refund up to 30 days before the camp. After that, workshop fees are not refundable or transferable.

  • We reserve the right cancel or reschedule a camp with fewer than 3 sign ups.

  • Masks are optional.

  • If your child is sick, please keep them home and contact us!
