Lost Wax Carving

with Allison Teicher

$175

Join jewelry designer Allison Teicher and learn the ancient art of lost wax to create your own custom ring. In this workshop, you'll use various tools and techniques to design and carve a wax model of your ring, which will then be cast in the metal of your choice after the workshop.

Please note that an additional payment via Venmo is required for the metal to cast the ring, as the cost is based on weight. Brass rings range from $20-$40, and silver rings range from $30-$60. You'll even have the option to have your brass ring gold-plated for an additional $15.

This workshop is perfect for anyone interested in jewelry-making, from beginners to those with more experience. The class lasts approximately 4 hours, and your finished ring will be shipped to you within two weeks of the class. Don't miss this opportunity to learn a time-honored technique and create a stunning piece of jewelry that you can wear and treasure for years to come!

Allison Teicher believes that adornment and beauty should be intertwined with sustainability and community. Eyde, Allison's jewelry line, is created using a slow, mindful approach to design that incorporates lost wax casting and other techniques to produce unique, wearable art. Allison also shares her passion for lost wax casting with others through workshops, where she guides participants through the process of creating their own custom rings. Each piece of Eyde jewelry is made from locally sourced recycled metal and ethically produced in Los Angeles by a small team of skilled artisans.
