Punch Needle Coasters

Punch Needle Rug Hooking is a beautiful and relaxing fiber art form that enables you to create rugs, artwork, pillows and more!

In this 4 hour workshop, you'll learn all the basics of punch needle: preparing your design, selecting your yarn, punching techniques, troubleshooting and finishing your work, along with a whole bunch of tips and tricks along the way. You'll come away from this class with a small coaster in a design of your choice -- and the knowledge to create future pieces of any size!

This is the perfect class for beginners, or those who have tried punch needle on their own but are looking for more in-depth guidance on materials and technique.

Our Policies:

  • Please arrive 10 minutes early for your workshop. Workshops start on time. If you are more that 15 minutes late for your class, you may forfeit your chance to take the class.

  • You may cancel for a refund up to 21 days before the workshop. After that, workshop fees are not refundable or transferable.

  • We reserve the right cancel or reschedule a workshop with fewer than 4 sign ups. If you cannot attend the rescheduled date, you will receive a refund.

  • Please note that we may take photos during the workshop to use on social media. If you do wish to be photographed, please let the teacher know when you arrive.

  • If you are sick, please stay home. Call or email to let us know that you are not coming.

  • Last minute cancellations are extremely challenging for our guest teachers. Often times, materials have been purchased and meticulously prepared ahead of time. Keep in mind that late cancellations are a financial burden on these very special artists.

Micah Clasper-Torch is a fiber artist and designer, a Certified Oxford Punch Needle Instructor, and the founder of Punch Needle World. Blurring the line between fine art and design, she creates limited edition collections and one of a kind pieces that range from coats and handbags to wall hangings and mixed media artwork. Both her personal work and teaching style embrace established craft traditions as a starting point to explore new techniques and applications, pushing their boundaries through contemporary design.

Micah has been practicing punch needle for the past 5 years and has taught thousands of students through her live workshops and online courses at Domestika and Punch Needle Academy.
