Let's explore the beauty of our faces!
Before we begin on the portrait, we will go through basic watercolor techniques to get everyone comfortable with the medium. Then each student will be provided with a sketch of a public figure and a photo from which to reference for the painting. With an emphasis on color, we'll paint each step together to create a colorful, one of a kind portrait.

This is a beginner friendly workshop!

Our Policies:

• Please try to arrive 5-10 minutes early for your workshop. Workshops start on time. If you are more that 15 minutes late for your class, you may forfeit your chance to take the class.

Rebecca Holopter is a multi-hyphenate artist who focuses on ease, joy, and nostalgia. Jealous of her brother's ninja turtle drawings, Rebecca's aunt set her down at a young age and said "it's just practice." With this sentiment, Rebecca continued to practice and study art throughout college. In 2015 she drew and animal a day (maintaining the practice while drinking wine in Italy!) and in 2016 she extended the practice with a watercolor painting a day. Since then she has continued with watercolor adding in other art mediums such as embroidery, acrylic, and pastels to explore skin tones and textures in colorful portraits and the freedom in excessive abstracts. She has taught in different mediums for the past 6 years and encourages her students with the same sentiment that was instilled in her - it's all just practice.

Join us in the studio for some much needed creative self care with a watercolor mediations open studio. This is a chance to explore watercolor while working with an intuitive process, and practicing letting go of expectations. Take care of your creative heart, spend time with your community, and unwind.

Community Classes are lightly structured, and allow plenty of time for exploration, conversation and reflection.

Watercolor Figure Painting

Beginner friendly introduction to painting the human form from a live nude model. Timed poses will focus on different techniques - from learning various watercolor techniques, focusing on color to create form, quick gesture sketches, shadow and highlights, and more.

All supplies will be provided. No cell phones will be allowed while the model is posing.

CAMP: Create Art, Meet People

Come to CAMP - an evening full of creativity and connection. At CAMP we reconnect with ourselves and others through art. We move. We make. We loosen up. We imagine. We get inspired. And, most importantly, we do something just for fun. 

CAMP will have an open studio setup with a few different crafts available to choose from every evening. From watercolor, to drawing, to friendship bracelets, to painting rocks and everything in between. We’ll have the supplies (and who knows sometimes live music!) all you have to bring is something to sip on. 

CAMP will be the first Wednesday of each month. Mark your calendars, invite a friend, and kick off each month with our growing community!
